Raman Spectroscopy Investigations of the Cd1 Nu/nu Mouse Skin Pre-carcinoma Damages

چکیده
Cancer is one of the most studied pathology and early detection could be helpful for treatment or other types of interventions that may stop the fatal evolution. The preclinical studies can be applied on experimental models, especially on rodents. Cancer can be induced experimentally most often by the application of chemical carcinogens, tumor cells inoculation or xenografts. FT-Raman spectroscopy in conjunction with the surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) has been applied for preliminary investigation on skin tissue from mice models in order to evaluate the possibility to record analytical spectral fingerprint in tissue diagnostic. FT-SERS spectra from the UV and chemically damaged tissues showed dominant characteristic bands from collagen and nucleic acids, whereas the bands attributed to proteins are observed with less extent.

Raman spectroscopy of the mineral rhodonite.
The mineral rhodonite an orthosilicate has been characterised by Raman spectroscopy. The Raman spectra of three rhodonites from Broken Hill, Pachapaqui and Franklin were compared and found to be similar. The spectra are characterised by an intense band at around 1000 cm(-1) assigned to the nu(1) symmetric stretching mode and three bands at 989, 974 and 936 cm(-1) assigned to the nu(3) antisymme...
متن کاملRaman spectroscopy of halotrichite from Jaroso, Spain.
Raman spectroscopy complimented with infrared ATR spectroscopy has been used to characterise a halotrichite FeSO(4) x Al(2)(SO(4))(3) x 22 H(2)O from The Jaroso Ravine, Aquilas, Spain. Halotrichites form a continuous solid solution series with pickingerite and chemical analysis shows that the jarosite contains 6% Mg(2+). Halotrichite is characterised by four infrared bands at 3569.5, 3485.7, 33...
متن کاملResonance Raman spectroscopic studies of hydroperoxo derivatives of cobalt-substituted myoglobin.
Recent progress in generating and stabilizing reactive heme protein enzymatic intermediates by cryoradiolytic reduction has prompted application of a range of spectroscopic approaches to effectively interrogate these species. The impressive potential of resonance Raman spectroscopy for characterizing such samples has been recently demonstrated in a number of studies of peroxo- and hydroperoxo-i...
متن کاملHuman transitional cell carcinoma in the NMRI-nu/nu mouse bladder: a new animal model for the in vivo use of monoclonal antibodies and cytotoxic agents.
Human transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder was successfully transplanted into the bladder of the NMRI-nu/nu mouse. Transplantation of a single-cell suspension from a human Grade II transitional cell carcinoma had an acceptance rate of 33%. The tumors showed invasive growth and could be identified by an anti-human monoclonal antibody. This tumor model can be valuable as an in vivo test sys...

Objective. To investigate the spectrum of B cell autoimmunity in the recently described anti-CD1– autoreactive T cell receptor (TCR)–transgenic murine lupus-like (CD1 lupus-like) model. Methods. Lethally irradiated BALB/c/nu/nu mice were injected intravenously with donor BALB/c bone marrow and spleen cells expressing TCR and TCR transgenes that recognize CD1d. Sera from adoptive host animals th...
